RULES SGAMBEDA
La Sgambeda, free technique is an International F.I.S. race that will be held in Livigno on Saturday Novembre 30, 2019 over a distance of 30 km.
Requirements to participate
The contestants who can take part in the marathon are athletes of both genders who have completed 18 years of age.

Payment by credit card or bank transfer. If a registered athlete were unable to attend the race, he/she will not be refunded the registration fee and the registration will not be transferable to the following year. The O.C. is entitled to close the registration period upon reaching the maximum number of registrations: registrations that are rejected will be reimbursed. |
Starting groups
Participants can choose their start group during the registration:
Group 1 – High level athletes
Group 2 – Good level athletes
Group 3 – Amateurs
The organization reserves the right to close the entry to a certain start wave, once it reached the maximum number.
Race services
Expo area, ski-test, technical assistance, medical assistance, professional timing service, bags deposit, refreshments on the track and at the finish line, changing rooms and showers, shuttle bus, pasta party and award ceremonies.
PRECISION TIMING: The time will be clocked by OTC Srl (Official Timer MySDAM) with technology based on the use of a “chip”.
Please Note: The failure or improper use of the chip will entail exclusion from the score rankings and the non-attribution of the time taken.
The gadgets for participants in the race will be delivered to the first 1000 participants with the race pack c/o the Race Office.

| The bibs are distributed at the Race Office at Plaza Placheda, via Saroch 1098/a, with the following timetable: Thursday 14:00-19:00, Friday 9:00-12:30 and 14:00-19:00, Saturday 7:30-9:00. |
The race
The start is scheduled at 11:00. Start time is subject to change.
Marking of the bib number is mandatory and is done from 9:30 to 10:45 at entrance of the starting group corresponding to the athlete’s bib.
Maximum time: 4 hours.
The organizers can for safety reasons have participants stop the race.
Each participant acknowledges to all effects that La Sgambeda requires considerable physical and technical effort. By registering, contestants implicitly declare under their own responsibility to be in possession of these requirements.
Along the track, there is no right of free track for those wishing to surpass another competing athlete. Athletes are allowed to replace only one ski and it is absolutely forbidden to take off your skis during the race.
Complaints
Can be submitted to the jury within one hour of the arrival of the first athlete, accompanied by the fee of € 50.00, which will be returned in case of acceptance of the complaint.
Race cancellation
In case of cancellation the athlete shall be entitled to a refund of 100% of the registration fee, or to transfer the registration to the following year’s race.
No refund will apply in case race cancellation due to force majeure, 24 hours before the competition.
General information
Simultaneously with the registration, athletes authorize the processing of their personal data for issues relating the event or future information purposes, pursuant to art. 10 of Law 675/96. Each participant authorizes the organization to use the images for the promotion of the event on all domestic and international media and to send you promotional material about the race, photos and anything else related to the event itself.
By registering for the event, athletes hereby fully accept these rules; for matters not covered in the regulation, the rules of the F.I.S. and F.I.S.I. shall apply.
The organizing committee reserves the right to modify this regulation at any time.
